Type: Italian Red wine
Grape: 100% Barbera
Origin: Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC, Piedmont, Italy
Tasting notes: Ruby red in color, this wine is fruity both on the nose and the palate with woody overtones, outstanding richness and fine balance. Wonderfully smooth and slightly tannins, it develops a full, well balanced flavor with age. Perfectly ripe black cherries and raspberry with touches of plums skins and spices like nutmeg, cloves and pepper. Excellent longevity.
Pairing: Due to its acidity and low tannins, this wine is going to work well with crispy orange beef or pork Lo Mein.
Vineyards: The wine is placed in French oak barrel in which occurs the 2nd fermentation. Then it is moved together with the deposit according to the method of batonnage and after pouring and cleaning, it is placed inside the same barrel for a period of 15 months. Production: 550 cases.
