Type: Red Wine.
Vintage: 2019
Grapes: Cabernet sauvignon 73%, merlot 27%
Origin: Pauillac, Bordeaux, France.
Description: Château Lynch-Moussas, like Lynch-Bages, belonged in the 18th century to the famous Lynch family of Irish origin. The 62-hectare vineyard is planted with 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. The Castéja family, who have owned land in Pauillac since the 16th century, acquired this château at the beginning of the 20th century.
Tasting notes: It has a very controlled bouquet at first with tightly wound raspberry and wild strawberry fruit, the oak nicely integrated and some lovely undergrowth aromas surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, the acidity well judged, leading to a spice-tinged finish that lingers long in the mouth.
Pairing: Make for a great combo are roasted
potatoes and onions, pepper beef, filet mignon, or a tender and juicy red meat dish.
Alcohol content: 14%.
