Description: Jean-Benoît took over management of his family’s estate, as the 14th generation in a long line of winemakers from his family. He modernized the grape varieties, promoted new terroirs, increased the density of plantation and built a new cellar, in order to obtain wines of great personnality, complex, full of finesse and elegance, under the « Pic Saint-Loup » appellation. An evolution followed by the organic certification in 2009 and the biodynamic certification in 2018.
The vineyards are located at 130 meters up hill on a gently sloping south-east facing slope. The clay-limestone soil is composed of clay loam and fragments of limestone from the erosion of the slopes, alternating with marls and marly-limestones.
Pairing: Aperitif, fish, bouchées à la reine, white meats, gyozas.
