Type: Red Wine
Vintage: 2019
Grapes: Merlot (60%), cabernet sauvignon (36%), petit verdot (4%).
Alcohol Content: 14.5%
Tasting notes: Tasted as a wine future, Le Petit Ducru de Ducru-Beaucaillou 2019 presents an intense purple-red colour. The aromatic complexity of the bouquet reveals itself from the very beginning. Notes of red fruit and stewed fruit come through on the nose, revealing discreet notes of ageing. On the palate, the wine displays a great amplitude of material. The development on the palate emphasises the balance of the wine, which stretches forth on a very long, lingering finish. Product of a superb vintage ending in -9, Le Petit Ducru will add a beautiful touch to your Sunday meals and can be enjoyed in its youth.
Pairing: Grilled beef, lamb, pork, chicken, duck, stews, braised foods and fish dishes are all great pairings. The addition of bacon is perfect for Hermitage as it creates a natural aromatic, wine and food match.
